This workshop is designed to give small businesses and nonprofit organizations some simple ideas for growing their organizations using email marketing and social media. Topics include what to write about, how to get more people to stop and read your messages and how to get more action, or reaction, to your messages and offers.

We will discuss what it means to run a campaign and tactics for measuring success without spending a lot of time or money. Participants will leave with a workbook full of ideas for timing their messages, how to write a winning subject line, what kinds of offers or content they want to try and how best to approach their next outreach project. This class is best suited for beginners in online marketing.

We will touch on Facebook as a bonus session. Facebook continues to evolve. We will look at how businesses and non-profits are leveraging Facebook and explore best strategies using images for higher impact. We will even cover the importance of mobile-friendly content for higher engagement.

This is a great class for beginners and smaller organizations who wish to accomplish more in less time and with a small budget. You will leave with a greater understanding of how to optimize you email and social media marketing from a standpoint of where to find and how to cultivate the best relationships.

MJ Finstrom & David Finstrom, a sister-brother team of HUTdogs, a creative services business, present this workshop. They constantly study the ever-evolving nature of social media and have a knack for walking clients through the steps needed to feel comfortable with the full range of on-line social media tools, especially seasoned business owners who don't quite know where to start or what to do. They teach businesses and nonprofits how to master the basics of online social media marketing tools. Their teaching style focuses on both the strategy and the "how to" of using today's marketing tools. They are talented, inspired leaders in Facebook and Constant Contact training. Their real world experience as small business owners is key to their effectiveness in teaching others. They have made presentations to thousands of attendees at various events throughout Southern California.
